Privacy Policy
Vera is a desktop AI workspace. This policy explains how the Vera website, desktop app, and Chrome extension handle data.
Website and account data
When you sign in or manage an account, Vera may process your email address, authentication state, device entitlement, and service usage records so the service can authenticate you, protect your account, and provide subscribed features.
Desktop app data
The Vera desktop app works with files, commands, chats, and generated artifacts that you choose to use inside the app. Local project files stay on your computer unless you explicitly use a feature that sends content to a cloud service or third-party model provider.
AI model and cloud processing
When you ask Vera to use an AI model, cloud skill, browser automation service, media generation provider, or similar integration, the content needed to complete that request may be sent to Vera-operated services or third-party providers. Vera uses that content to perform the requested action and deliver the result back to you.
Chrome extension data
The Vera Chrome extension connects Chrome to the Vera desktop app through native messaging. To complete user-directed browser workflows, it may process tab metadata, page content, browsing activity on pages you ask Vera to work with, downloads, and page interaction events. This data is used only to provide the extension's browser-control function.
Payment and subscription data
If you subscribe to a paid plan, Vera and its payment processors may process checkout status, plan entitlement, billing identifiers, and payment-related records. Vera does not store full payment card numbers.
Retention and deletion
Local workspace data remains on your device until you delete it. Account, entitlement, security, and service records may be retained for as long as needed to operate Vera, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain business records.
Your choices
You control which projects, files, browser pages, and integrations you ask Vera to use. You can delete local app data from your device and contact us to request help with account-related privacy questions.
Sharing and sale of data
Vera does not sell user data. User data is not transferred or used for purposes unrelated to Vera's stated product functionality, and it is not used to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
